First week at sixth form...

Yooo,

So I(we)started sixth form last week, (as I'm sure some of you have) ,and so far I think that it has been okay, except for the fact that everyone else moans about it *straight face* especially Abi, she has picked subjects that that no one else has chosen so she is by herself hahaha, but apart from that I think it is manageable. The difficulty between GCSE and AS Level has become visible already and I have only had three out of the four subjects!

To be completely honest I don't think my wrist is even capable of coping with amount of essay writing you have to do, it hurts already and I have hardly done anything *cries*. I already know that it will be a lot more than just a ten minute job the night before, if I don't pass the subjects this first year I won't be able to continue them in second year which will be devastating because I have no idea what else I would do, so I have got to work hard from the very beginning, which is going to be soooooo stressful, ahh. I think my main aim for the first few months will to find some motivation somewhere so I just don't give uo and wag it *laugh cries*.

I'm sure I will be fine, there are probably many of you who are exactly the same, share your tips!!! If you were wondering the subjects I have taken are; Media, Photography, ICT and History. Let me know what subjects you're taking and things like your essentials, they're always handy and how you're finding sixth form or college life so far, or even if you're still at school!

Also does anyone else feel old, like not being at school anymore because I sure do. I have four younger siblings and honestly its quite daunting, why is everything going so quickly, it seems like only yesterday I started year eleven but in actual fact it was this time last year, whaaaaaattttttt?!?!

On another note, I promise myself and Abi will sort out a proper schedule and upload more regularly and hopefully you will enjoy it! But that's all for now...

Our prom...

Heyy, Beth here!

In case you may or not know, myself and Abi actually had our prom a few weeks ago, on July 4th. We were both considering not going (not that I had any choice, I'm the eldest child unlike Abi) because friends in older years or elder sisters in Abi's case have always said that they didn't enjoy it and it really wasn't worth all the money and the hassle. But my parents convinced me to go and then I had the hard and painful task of convincing Abi to go. But I'm sure we can both agree that it was an amazing experience (despite the cost but lets not get into that). It was so wonderful to see everyone scrub up and make the most of our last night together as a year group and in all honesty I actually think it is a bit stupid not to go to your prom. Yes it's a bit worrying, you have to deal with everyone looking at you and judging what you look like, but I promise you don't have to worry about that at all. Everyone is so amazed by how fantastic everyone looks that there is no negativity! It can be stressful, like picking the right dress and then getting your hair to match, plus everything else! But trust us, trust me it was all worth it. It was such a great night even though the music and food wasn't too good but it was incredible. And I hope that if you're wondering whether to go or not you decide to go, its part of your school teen life! And I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Now here's a few photos:

Here's me and Abi,

Abi chiming in yo

I honestly don't think I could have said it better myself to be honest and I'm so glad I decided to go, all of the things you have been stressing about just don't matter in the grand scheme of things, ultimately it doesn't matter if you paid £50 or £500 for your dress, whether you got your hair and makeup done professionally or whether your shoes match your bag and accessories perfectly because nobody else will notice or care and even if they do as Bernard M. Baruch once said "those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.”as long as you're there and you make the most of the night and dance your lil heart out or just have fun with your friends you will have and amazing time and that's truly all that matters  and even if you seriously hate 90% of your year group the night should be made better by the comforting thought that you never have to see most of them again so theirs always that. On another note having a date for prom is not the be-all and end-all, aside from geting a few pictures and perhaps a corsage if you're lucky, its not that important and just going with your freinds can be just as fun and special. of couse im not tryig to kid anyone,  it is nice to have a date and to be asked to prom but just don't be to hung up about it if you're not asked its often the case that somebody wants to ask you but they just dont have the courage but if you realy want to go to prom with someone just ask them, the worst that can happen is they say no and remember you probably won't have to see them again anway!
hopefully I have provided you with a lil bit of comfort on this subject-maybe not

introductioneys...

eloeloelo

i'm Abi, im 16, i live in Staffordshire currently and i'm the less cooler one of the two of us,i spend large portions of my time on the internet and i very much enjoy make up and beauty. my only real aspiration in life is to go on the tv show 'Grand Designs' because it is possibly the best program to ever of existed however i will settle for 'Restoration Man' as long as George Clarke is presenting it.
i have nothing else to say on the subject of introductions (im fully aware of how poxy this post is but there is only up from here on in) and i feel you will get to know me better throughout future posts so yeah...
Abi out
edit:Beth did a much better job at introducing me than i did so you should most definitely just read hers and pretend i had some input in that one... okay

Introductions...

Hey! I'm Beth, the cooler one of the two obviously, I am sixteen and I live in England, in the Staffordshire area, which I have only lived in for a year this month actually! Funny story, when I first moved here at the start of year eleven, Abi actually hated me (I don't know why because I'm pretty great) but now she is one of my closest pals, even though she does worry me sometimes. We will be both starting at the same sixth form in September and to tell you the truth I'm pretty nervous, we're not children any more which means we're both going to have to mature a bit, which is heartbreaking for us and everyone around us, haha! The subjects I am hoping to take are; Photography, Media, ICT and History.

One fact about me is that I hate describing myself and here I am writing a paragraph about my self for everyone to see, oh how wonderful. Suppose I will just start with the basics, I have blue eyes that are actually quite greyish, but I promise I'm not a cold person despite what Abi says! I'm quite the average teen, in the sense that I wouldn't be able to live without the internet or my phone! I enjoy a good book every now and then, alongside hours of scrolling through youtube and tumblr, but who doesn't? I, well we both like to sing a lot, like literally all of the time, whether it be High School musical (sad we know) or Eminem. We both also have very peculiar dance moves which we like to entertain everyone with *blushes*. We both have a strong love for Harry Potter and Youtubers, we're practically the same, except I can spell as you'll soon find out, haha. I also love Ed Sheeran ooo, I also have started a picture wall because I obviously want to be more tumblr, but at the moment it only really consists of photos from my prom, take a look:

It isn't great but I will get there!

I have no idea where we even plan to go with this blog but I hope it's enjoyable for everyone! I assume it could be beauty based but you'll just have to wait and see! Bare with us though, we're pretty new to this kind of thing do it may take a while for things to get started properly, so please be patient with us!

Please send requests to give us a few ideas to start with!
